First of its own kind, the American Track League is a fan centered series of stateside track meets that fuses exciting entertainment elements with world-class track meet standards
ATLANTA, GA—After huge success in the 2015 series, securing over 3,500 attendees, and 30+ Olympic and World Championship track and field athletes, the American Track League (ATL) will kick off its fifth season with two meets: one in Atlanta, GA on Saturday, June 4th at the 10,000 capacity Lakewood Stadium and another meet in Houston, TX on July 23rd.
Each year the American Track League brings out the world’s greatest track and field athletes for a fun-filled party on the track and in 2015 ATL brought the best group track and field athletes to Atlanta since the ’96 Olympics. In 2016, ATL plans to exceed its 2015 lineup with the initial confirmation of Former World’s Fastest Man Asafa Powell and World’s Best Athlete Ashton Eaton for the upcoming Atlanta meet.
Party Faster is the official tagline for the 2016 series and ATL looks to turn it up another notch with new and innovative entertainment components. Just a few months out from the 2016 Olympics in Rio Brazil, fans will get a stateside track meet where the world’s top athletes compete right before Olympic Trials.
“The American Track League has one simple goal: for fans to leave the stadium with an experience they will never forget! The way we are presenting out events and giving extreme access to our fans is beyond what’s ever been done with any other sporting event. Our 2016 season will undeniably be the best season yet!”, says Founder Paul Doyle
